Beko Classic 2015

Tournament Programme


The 2015 Beko Classic Pro-Am comprises of 30 invited Professionals and Teams who will compete in a 54 Hole Pro-Am Team Stableford Tournament from the 3rd to the 5th of December. The Professionals will participate in a 54 hole individual Strokplay tournament that will run alongside the team competition.

1) Championship Itinerary

For those arriving on the 2nd December shuttle transfers will operate from Antalya Domestic Terminal to Maxx Royal as follows;

8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00, 23:00, 00:00

Wednesday 2nd December • Practice Rounds are available from 10;30-.13;30 • Welcome Reception in the Maxx Royal Hotel in the Royal Horse Lounge Bar, 1900 for a 1930 start.

Thursday 3rd December • Round 1 of the Beko Classic – 0930 Shotgun Start

Friday 4th December • Round 2 of the Beko Classic – 0930 Shotgun Start

Saturday 5th December • Final Round of the Beko Classic – 0845 Shotgun Start

The official Check out day is Saturday. Following the game we request all players to make their way back to the hotel to be able to change and complete their check out. The closing BBQ will commence at the clubhouse from 15;30 and the prize presentation ceremony is scheduled for 16;30 and all will be completed by 18;00.

After the ceremony there will be three shuttles to the airport from the hotel at 18:30 & at 21:00.

2) Conditions of Play

The event shall be played under The R&A Rules of Golf, the Tournament Regulations of the PGAs of Europe, the 2015 PGAs of Europe Conditions of Competition and the local rules for Montgomerie Maxx Royal, Antalya, Turkey.

A total of 30 teams (consisting of 1 Professional and 3 Amateurs) will compete over 54 holes stableford with the best score from the team of two to count on each hole.

The professionals will play a 54-hole individual strokeplay event.

The handicap limit is 28 for men and 36 ladies with amateurs receiving 3/4 of their sloped handicap allowance in the Pro-Am.

Amateurs are required to provide their exact at the registration desk of the event.

The EGA slope system will apply to the tournament and each amateur will play from the applicable handicap.

NOTE: It is the amateur’s responsibility to ensure that the registration desk is made aware of their exact handicap.

NOTE: All prizewinners will be required to provide current proof of handicap before their team is presented with their prizes.

Any disputes regarding the interpretation of these Conditions of Competition will be settled by the PGAs of Europe and in consultation with Tournament Representatives will be binding.

3) Draws

The Tournament Draw will be posted on the tournament noticeboards at approximately 1400hrs on Wednesday 2nd December and will be emailed to Professionals, all three rounds will be a Shotgun Start. The starting holes and final pairings for Round 3 of the Beko Classic will be released upon conclusion of the second round.

4) Starting

All competitors are required to arrive at their starting tee 10 minutes prior to their start time. All cards and local rules are to be collected by the PROFESSIONAL in the clubhouse entrance form Jo-Jo Hamer-Philip.

Male Professionals - Black tees Male Amateurs - SilverTees Female Amateurs - Red Tees.

5) Buggies

Buggies are available to amateurs on a first come first served basis.

6) Recording of Scores

All scorecards must be returned to the recording area situated within the Tournament Office which is located upstairs in the clubhouse immediately following play.

The scoring office is defined as the confines of the clubhouse and the terraces.

7) Rulings and Doubt as to Procedure

There will be a PGAs of Europe Rules Official available to deal with any rulings.

If, however, there is no Rules Official present the player may invoke Rule 3-3 (two ball rule). The player must nominate the ball with which he wants to score, should the rules permit, and report the facts to a PGAs of Europe Official immediately at the conclusion of play. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

8) Distance Measuring Devices

As per Section B3 of the PGAs of Europe Conditions of Competition, all competitors will be permitted to use distance-measuring devices provided they measure distance only. If a player has any doubt as to whether a device is conforming they should seek the advice of a PGAs of Europe official.

9) Slow Play

For everyone's enjoyment we ask for each team to “keep up with the team in front and not in front of the team behind”. If the amateur player is not going to score on a hole please "pick up". Each team is permitted 4 hours 30 minutes to play 18 holes, an average of 15 minutes per hole.

It will be the professional's responsibility to ensure that the team's pace of play adheres to the guidelines of the Tournament Director.

10) Bad Weather / Play foreshortened or Cancelled

In the event of bad weather and an overall result not being possible, the overall Professional result will be decided over completed rounds.

All players should make themselves aware of the Suspension of Play Policy, which can be found on the PGAs of Europe Hard Card – Section B5. In all instances when there is a threat of lightning the player should put their own safety first and seek shelter as soon as possible.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances any decision shall be made by the PGAs of Europe and, in consultation with the tournament organizers, be binding.

11) Official Functions

Wednesday 2nd December - Welcome Reception in the Maxx Royal Hotel in the Royal Horse Lounge Bar, 19:00 for a 19:30 start
